About the project

Making the Mongolian ger an ornament to the world

In 2016 we designed Tsomtsog Ger to be as comfortable and spacious as a modern house while keeping the character of the national dwelling.

A national brand product, protected as intellectual property, that adapts the traditional Mongolian ger to modern life with more comfort and light. Made by Monhatan House LLC since 2016.

Export & humanitarian supply
Exported traditional gers to many countries and supplied relief gers to World Vision and the Mongolian Red Cross Society.
2016
The Tsomtsog Ger brand is born
The first innovative Tsomtsog Ger designs were created for the "Red Resort" tourist camp.
2016–2022
Terelj, Tuv, Gobi and Khangai
Nine resorts in Terelj, five in Tuv province and camps in Umnugovi and Uvurkhangai chose Tsomtsog Ger.
2023
Oyu Tolgoi, Khandgait, new brand book
Major projects at Oyu Tolgoi and Khandgait, and a new brand identity.
2024
Taliin Mongol complex
Delivered a tourist complex with dozens of Tsomtsog Gers.

2026
"Nine Treasures" & new factory
Launched the nine-colour "Nine Treasures" interior series and operate our own factory at Moringiin Davaa, Khan-Uul.

Architecture & interior design

Traditional outside, modern inside

We keep the round form, felt covering and ornaments of the Mongolian ger, and fully fit out the interior with a bathroom, kitchenette and sleeping area. Custom gers of 14–20 metres can become restaurants, halls or museum spaces.
