Privacy policy

A plain-language explanation of what we do with the information you give us, how long we keep it and how we protect it.

1. Introduction

Monhatan House LLC ("we") operates tsomtsog.mn, the official website of the TSOMTSOG GER® brand. This privacy policy explains what information we collect through the site, how we use it and how we protect it.

We aim to operate in line with the Law of Mongolia on Personal Data Protection. By using the site you confirm that you have read and accepted this policy.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us. When you place an order, send a project enquiry, request repair services or write to us, we collect:

  • Name, phone number and email address
  • Delivery location (province and district)
  • The ger model, colour and optional extras you selected
  • Any message or notes you write
  • For project enquiries: company name, country, number of gers, budget and delivery terms

Information collected automatically. Our server keeps technical logs of your IP address, browser type, the pages you open and the date and time. These are needed for security and troubleshooting.

What we never store. Card numbers, bank account details and payment passwords never reach our server. Payments are handled by QPay; we receive only the payment status and the invoice reference.

3. How we use the information

  • To receive and process your order or enquiry
  • To prepare a quotation and send it to you as a PDF by email
  • To contact you about the progress of your order and delivery
  • To confirm payments and issue invoices
  • To provide warranty and after-sales service
  • To meet our accounting, tax and other legal obligations
  • To improve the website and fix errors

We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising without your consent.

4. Cookies and measurement

The site uses no tracking cookies. Only the following technical items are used:

  • Admin login cookie — created only when a member of our team signs in to the admin panel. It is never created for ordinary visitors.
  • Browser session storage — a single flag so the loading animation is not repeated on every page. It holds no personal data and is cleared when you close the browser.

If visitor measurement (Plausible) is enabled, it uses no cookies, collects no personally identifying data and reports only aggregate figures. There are no Facebook, Google or other advertising trackers on the site.

5. Sharing with third parties

We share data only where necessary and only in these cases:

  • QPay — invoice details are passed on when you pay a deposit
  • Email service provider — to deliver confirmations and quotations to you
  • OpenStreetMap — when a map is displayed, your IP address becomes visible to that service. If no map is loaded, nothing is shared.
  • Competent authorities — where required by law

The website and its database run on our own server in Ulaanbaatar.

6. How long we keep data

  • Order data — for the warranty period (3 years), and after that for the period required by accounting and tax law
  • Enquiry and contact messages — 2 years
  • Technical server logs — 3 months
  • Backups — 30 days, then deleted automatically

Once these periods end, data is deleted or anonymised.

7. Security

  • The whole site runs over an encrypted SSL connection
  • Only authorised staff can reach the admin panel; passwords are stored in a form that cannot be reversed
  • The database is not exposed to the internet and runs in an isolated environment
  • Automatic backups run daily

No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but we take the best measures available to us.

8. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Know what data we hold about you and to see it
  • Have incorrect or incomplete data corrected
  • Have your data deleted, except where the law requires us to keep it
  • Ask us to stop processing your data
  • Withdraw your consent at any time
  • Complain to the competent authority if you believe your rights have been breached

To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below. We reply within 10 working days of receiving a request and may ask you to verify your identity.

9. Children

Our services are not aimed at people under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If we learn that we hold such data, we delete it immediately.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services or the law change. The revision date is shown at the top of the page, and we will announce significant changes on the site.
